Another great day here in Plas Gwynant!
Our day started around 7:00, when we woke up and got ready to do our morning chores. We did a fantastic job and Dan (our leader for the first night) commented on how we had been one of the best schools to complete them. We were very quick and completed them really efficiently.
After this, we had breakfast (cereal and a hot meal: beans on toast). Straight after this, we made our sandwiches with a range of toppings. With our dinner ready, we made our way to our groups and got ready for our days activities.
Miss Cotterill and Mrs Smith's group have both been out on a day walk today. They saw some fantastic views and really embraced the challenge of a full day walk. While on the walk, we explored caves and got to use our torches!
Miss Barnett's group completed 2 different activities today. This morning, we climbed and scaled boulders. We learned lots of different scrambling skills and everyone rose to the challenge. After this, we sat and enjoyed the brilliant views before going canoeing this afternoon.
Miss Kaur's group also completed 2 activities: canoeing and abseiling. Lots of the children over came their fears of heights (when abseiling) and embraced the challenge. By the end of the activity, all the children thoroughly enjoyed it and said they would definitely do it again!
Tonight, we've eaten our dinner and are now about to complete an outdoor orienteering challenge on the grounds of Plas.
We're all excited to find out what we're going to be doing tomorrow...
