This week, the online safety group met with some of the members of the safeguarding team to discuss recent actions within school, reflect on the year and consider next steps. The team have worked really hard in school to raise the profile of safeguarding in all areas and support their peers. We have held a number of workshops for parents and guardians this year, including online safety workshops. It has been wonderful to have had the opportunity to discuss how devices are being used at home and how children and families are accessing the online world. We have also been able to share advice and address concerns throughout these workshops. Another element children thought had been a success this year was competitions and work they had done linking to classes. Due to this, they are all very keen to start to consider plans for next year.
We would like to take the opportunity to thank all of the safeguarding team this year for their contributions, especially the year 6. They have been great role models for younger children in the team. In addition to this, we would like to thank Mrs Gosal for her contributions within the team especially.
We look forward to gaining some new members in autumn term and have already started to plan what our focus will be!
