GDPR at Grove Vale

Since GDPR went live on 25th May, we have been making changes in school to ensure that data of pupils, staff and govenors is safe and protected. The GDPR is a piece of legislation that has been put into place to determine how people's personal data is used, kept, stored and processed. It also links to the personal rights of individuals in reference to their own personal data.

In many ways the act is similar to the Data Protection Act of 1988 however, it is slightly more strict and increased the key focus areas mentioned above. All members of staff have undertaken GDPR training and are aware of the importance and procedures to carry out to ensure we meet the GDPR protocols put into place.
