I am delighted to welcome you to our Grove Vale Primary website. My name is Mrs Connop and I am the head teacher of our amazing school. We are a proud Sandwell school and offer provision for 421 pupils in Great Barr, Birmingham. As a parent and educational practitioner, my aim is to provide a welcoming, inclusive, nurturing and caring environment where all pupils can flourish and exceed their potential in all aspects of their development, our motto devised by a pupil is Together We Grow. Our diligent, committed and enthusiastic team proudly embody this vision on a daily basis, creating a learning environment full of high expectation, equality of opportunity, care and ambition for all learners.
At Grove Vale, our core values and drivers underpin our school ethos and teaching and learning framework. We consistently use our core values to drive whole school improvement whilst striving to be a centre of excellence for teaching and learning opportunities. Our values aim to expand our pupils’ minds, developing confident, resilient and articulate learners ready for life in the diverse and technological world we live in. We aim to provide a foundation for our pupils to value each other and our community, respecting the rights of each other and celebrating diversity. We ensure that our welcoming, secure and visually stimulating environment supports our staff and pupils to promote a love of learning every day. We grow together with Grace, Valour, Pride, Success empowering our ambitious pupils to strive to be the very best they can be in partnership with parents, governors and the community.
